iPod insanity

A culture has developed around Apple's popular line of mp3 players. The trend has moved beyond major urban centers and spread as far as Port Huron, and it shows no signs of letting up. As Apple continues to introduce new models, other companies have sprung up to offer an abundance of accessories. Today you can buy such gear as iPod cleaners, iPod cases and iPod remote controls. Other products plug into the iPod to turn it into a miniature flashlight or guitar amp.
An active boomer wants to know how her new iPod Shuffle knows what she's thinking and doing -- how it knows to play a slightly up David Benoit tune while she's warming up for her run -- before segueing into some rockin' Beach Boys oldies as she really hits her stride -- and then bringing her home with the cool-down sounds of Sinatra... The bottom line, according to mathematicians -- life truly is random, but we humans like to impose our own order on it.
Apple's support site briefly hosted documents early Wednesday morning that offered details on using an iPod photo with the company's new iPod Camera Connector. The support documents, which are no longer available, provided information on photo importing formats, tips on using the USB port on the device and deleting pictures, and linked to a complete list of supported digital cameras.
